The bridge over the River Kwai (Sri Lanka)

On the way back from the Hill country, our driver stopped to show us one of the waterfalls in the area:

We then stopped at another place (ive forgotten the name now) which is a popular tourist destination for rafting and canoeing. This is also the place where 'The bridge over the river Kwai' was filmed, even though the film was about the railway built by POWs and Indian slave labourers linking thailand and Burma, at great human cost. I'll be sure to go there when i go to Thailand.

There was a wonky footbridge linking 2 villages and the view from the middle was fantastic :
