My cousin had told me there was a well known photo opportunity of the reflection of Angkor Wat in the lake in front of it. When we got there, there were quite a few photographers waiting...
We staked out our bit of sand and my cus showed me how to fiddle with the exposure to capture the ball of the sun in the water..
We then had breakfast and went to the South Gate of the Bayon temple complex..
Which has incredible stone faces carved into the side of the temples...
Of course, our tuk driver had to get up a little earlier than us - around 4am, and we caught him taking a nap when we got back...it's a hard life..
Next up, we went to Angkor Thom which had the 'terrace of the elephants' and a few huge trees..
It was hot work !
Next up was the 'Ta Phrom' temple. This temple had been swallowed up by the jungle and the massive trees around the stonework maintained...it became famous when the film 'Tomb Raider' was shot here...
It was quite difficult to get these photos without other tourists in them, as when we were there about 4 coach loads of Koreans dropped in !!
I felt lucky not be taking the local transport...
The last temple we went to was 'Banteay Srei' which means the 'Citadel of Women'. It is called this due to the nature of its ornate carvings which it is said were only possible using the delicate hands of women...
By the time we'd finished, it was mid afternoon and blisteringly hot so we went back home.
That evening we went down to 'Pub street'...and chanced upon the two crazy Aussie ladies we'd met on the bus, who joined us for a drink...

When the ladies left, myself, my cousin and the tuk driver went to a local night club called 'Zone One' where me and the tuk driver danced to traditional Cambodian music...i've no photos of this but it was really funny...
